Chawathil Aboriginal Head Start supports children and families in culture and language education witch includes health and nutrition. We share our teachings of medicine harvesting, Slahal, drum making, rattle making, story tellers, Halqemeylem, painting, dream catchers, salmon and more.

Swetexel Daycare is an inclusive daycare and preschool centre for children 12 months to school age. Swetexel opened in 2019 as a two-fold reconciliation project in partnership with Read Right Society, Yale First Nation & Grace Baptist Church. Together we hold a vision of 1) a safe, diverse child care centre and, 2) community programs working toward reconciliation of faith and culture groups of all ages.
Following Reggio Emilia’s Philosophy, we encourage curiosity & creativity, allowing children’s interests to guide learning. Our curriculum includes:

Literacy Foundations

(FRAFCA) services and supports from birth to death in a culturally relevant and safe way, honoring the diverse lived experiences of Indigenous people.

Our programs are delivered in community or in a family home setting. We support First Nations, Métis, and Inuit children and families to reach their full potential, through a strengths-based, holistic, and culturally responsive approach. There is focus on the health, intellectual, emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being.

We support children and families through six key components: Culture and Language, Education, Social Support, Health Promotion, Nutrition, and Parental Involvement

Offering school age and early learning programs on site at local elementary schools to the families of Abbotsford.

A non-profit organization, working in partnership with the community, to provide Indigenous Infant Development, Indigenous Supported Child Development, Child & Youth Programs and Children’s Respite. Services include home visits, support in childcare settings, parenting programs and community playgroups.

Kwantlen translates to ``Tireless Runner``. Following their rich legacy and traditions, they continue to work tirelessly at building a strong sense of community within their traditional territory.

Leq’á:mel Childcare Centre provides a safe, healthy, nurturing environment for your child to grow and develop with our Indigenous culture and traditional teachings, as well as encouraging your child’s growth in their spiritual, physical, emotional, mental, and social development. Halq'emeylem is incorporated and Elders are involved.

LFVAS offers Community Cultural Support for Urban Indigenous Children and their families in the community of Langley. We offer Aboriginal Early Child Childhood Development, youth support, community dinners, cultural programming, Bringing Tradition Home Parenting classes. We work with Indigenous individuals, youth aging out of care and families facing homelessness. We offer supports such as food security, rental assistance, negotiations, advocacy, housing set up, amenities, identification, status claims and renovation. The Métis Child and Family Development Centre is a non-judgemental and supportive space in which parents and children are encouraged to engage in Aboriginal Mother Goose, drumming, singing, circles, story-telling, indigenous animals, puppetry, and Métis art and activities. Parents learn about ages and stages of development and can ask questions about concerns they may have regarding their child's development. The Early Years workers assist families with parenting strategies and by sharing resources in a welcoming environment. Parents can also connect with our Elder and with each other while participating in the program.

Aboriginal Supported Child Development (ASCD) is a provincially funded program that is designed to specifically meet the needs of children of Indigenous Ancestry who require additional support. ASCD programs are developed with cultural values, beliefs, and traditions in mind.

In order to be effectively included in a child care setting, it is recognized that some children may require extra support. Our Aboriginal Development Program serves children birth to 12 years of age, (up to age 19 in special circumstances), who require extra support and are, or will be, attending a child care setting.

The Seabird Island Band exists to promote a healthier, self-sufficient, self-governing, unified and educated community. Seabird Island ECD consists of 11 programs that strive to give the smallest members of the community and neighboring communities the strongest start to life. They believe in educating the children academically, physically, emotionally, spiritually and culturally as strong well supported, well adjusted children so they will grow to be strong, well adjusted adults.

Sq'ewqéyl S'íwesá:ylhem Childcare Centre believes that each child is part of what makes the community whole. The educators follow the child’s lead creating play-based learning opportunities. The programs focus on six main components of Head Start: Culture and Language; Education; Health Promotion; Nutrition; Parent and Family Involvement; and Social Support.

We are a First Nations community that offers Cultural programs, educational supports, Mental Health, and Substance misuse supports, food supports, youth and elder supports and much more.

We are a non-profit society that works to empower and strengthen Indigenous families through the programs we offer.

Morning Star Headstart - Aboriginal Head Start On Reserve (AHSOR) is a program that supports activities focused on early childhood learning and development for First Nations children from birth to age six and their families. Families take part in activities that encourage a love of learning, establish positive health and wellness habits, and boost children's self-confidence through connections to their language, community and culture. The program runs from 10:00am-2:00pm on Mondays & Tuesdays in the Headstart Building and parent participation is required.

Sts’ailes Early Education Centre (SEEC) has been serving families since 1998 by providing an early learning environment that supports the whole child and is rich in Sts’ailes language and culture. SEEC offers childcare for children aged infant to school age, an enhanced K4 program, and serves as a hub for other community and family services.
